To See 3 New Places - 9:36 PM
Of the multiple New Year resolutions I make at the start of the year, there is one that is still in the running - to see 3 new places in 2009. Well, perhaps it is unfair to say that that's the one remaining goal in sight. I mean, who's to say its impossible to lose 30 pounds in 3 months (my other rolling resolution year after year)?Anyway, after my Yellowstone trip in June where my eyes were opened to infinite possibilities, I've been dreaming about another place to visit this year end. Choices crossed between South American countries of Argentina and Peru for a long time, before I booked my tickets.
For Europe, that is.
Yep, that just goes to show how nothing stands a chance against airline sales. So come December 1st, I'll be on my virgin trip to Europe, first to Barcelona, then on to Italy where I will be able to see the real Venice and compare it to the one I visit daily. To give us some credit, I've heard mostly positive comments from friends who come to the Venetian - that it really does look a lot like St Marks. Square, just way nicer smelling (Oh yes the scent has a name: Seduction) than the one big longkang that is Venice.
I'll also be able to sample, ok it's really going to be more like STUFF myself with Pizza and Pasta. Prada I won't be able to afford, but Pesto I will!
