Ruoxi, Peishan and Peiyun were in town last weekend as part of Peishan's cross country trip across America where she started off from Chicago, stopped by Texas where she picked up Peiyun, started hiking/camping along the way till Vegas, and ultimately concluding in San Francisco where she will go back to Singapore after 7 years in the U.S.

Anyway, I really enjoy having visitors cos basically I'm forced to do things that I wouldn't do normally cos I can't possibly have the motivation to watch a show by myself, or have dimsum by myself, so on.

So our weekend started off on Friday evening, where I met Peishan and Peiyun (PS's staying at the Venetian) and caught a quick dinner, before Peiyun and I went off to watch the Blue Man Group show. That show's really..bizzare. I mean, what? really? I have no idea. But it was kind of entertaining and most importantly, free of charge. So hey, who am I to complain.

Next day, after dimsum and shopping, we caught the O-Cirque de Soleil show at the Bellagio, and hello, can it get any better? Spectacular is the word and all I can say is you have to catch it for yourself to understand what I mean.

Sunday, owing to PS's recommendation that we see the Red Rock Canyon Nature Reserve, we decided to take the scenic route. So guess what? Hey, the mountains I see from my house IS the Red Rock Canyon!! Its only like 10 minutes away and pretty interesting. The rock formations are pretty brilliant and umm, thats really all I can say about rocks.

Then we checked into the Palazzo hotel, a new sister property for the Venetian where the suites are generously sized and luxurious, and we just nua-ed until dinner where Lotus of Siam awaited. Its touted as America's BEST Thai food. Verdict, I definitely can't tell whether they are best or 2nd best, but it's pretty good (despite its pretty ghetto location).

Aiyah, I am so unmotivated to write something remotely interesting, but its Sunday and you gotta forgive me. Be back soon!
