Guess Where? - 1:25 AM

So tomorrow marks the beginning of a new lifestyle. As of May 15th, 2008... I'll be employed at the Venetian Resort.Casino.Hotel. Just as I was showing remarkable potential as a professional bummer/occasional diva/ part time marketing auntie. Shucks, I was taking my responsibilities so professionally too.
Anyhow, I have left Singapore for Las Vegas. Sin City. Death Valley. However you want to call it. Its hot for sure. Thankfully, its not humid, or I'll be booking myself on the next flight home. But the sun is often so piercing that I can't help but feel like its melting my eyeballs.
Tomorrow, it will be Orientation. I wonder how interesting its gonna be orientating with Hollywood-rejected bunny girls and Broadway-rejected gondola singers. One day I will ask them how they feel belting ridiculous songs in the middle of a canal that runs through an air conditioned resort with painted ceilings. I personally find it mildly embarrassing for the passenger on the gondola. Sing along, honestly?
And on Friday, I start work for good. So I guess welcome to the life that I'll be having for lets see, at least 20 years? I'll let you all in on how that feels after I start.
The time difference between LV and Singapore sucks. There is next to no chance of me catching friends online unless they you know, MSN at work. haha. And yeah, tomorrow I'll find out whether I get to do the same.
2 days ago I boarded the flight back from the glorious Terminal 3... It feels the same as the times when I was heading back to school. Heavy heart. Loneliness. Promise to return very soon, for good.
But now that I'm here, that feeling is gone. I just hope I can find an apartment and get a car ASAP, then I can officially begin a life that I will choose. The stinking feeling will return, I'm sure of that. On some boring lonely Sunday afternoon. (see why I hate Sundays now?). Thats the time I feel the most vulnerable.
I wanted to talk about how I got this job, but I've been real lazy. But I promise now that I'm back, I'll definitely have more stories to share. So stay tuned!
p/s: can someone recommend a chatterbox that is reliable? in the meantime leave me a message!
