cookie dough syndrome - 12:37 AM
0 comment(s)
Harlow everyone... I'm still here...Usually, thursday is the day I kick back my feet, order Chinese, and watch tv until my eyes pop out... but this week happens to be Homecoming week, so no such luck!

Auction is meeting the alumni board at the Homecoming meet tomorrow... Each year, we try to juice the alum board by doing a lil silly dance to kinda wake them up... cos they have to be there form 830am to 330pm, just sitting there and listening to people talk, they get so sleepy and bored... so we do goofy things, at our expense, of course, just to jolt them a little so they'll pay attention to our presentation, and thus SEND IN MORE DONATIONS! Last year, we did a lil dance to the Motown song of 'Money, thats all I want'... This year, we are damn against doing another dance cos its just plain embarrassing... so we came up with something else.

This year, we're gonna have a more interactive thing going on.. its gonna be like a trivia gameshow!! So Chad, the goofy CEO of Auction, will rush out and be the game master.. and it will be something like that ... Chad (in booming voice): 'HEY EVERYBODY... WE ARE GONNA PLAY A LITTLE GAME RIGHT NOW, CALLED 'HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW AUCTION?' and then he'll proceed to ask 'SO, WHO CAN TELL ME HOW MANY YEARS HAVE AUCTION BEEN RAISING MONEY FOR THE SCHOOL?!?!?'.... and ok, since its the first question, and the alum who come each year are totally not expecting that since we've been dancing our way for the past few years and will be completely stunned... so, we have pakat-ed with a professor.. who will go '16 YEARS!!!'... and we'll go 'OH WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL.. for that, you get a bag of cookies!!'... and then he'll go on to introduce the board members, and we'll come out, LOOKING REALLY ENTHU, mind you.. and ask a question.. and hopefully, HOPEFULLY they get the hang of what we're doing... hand out a bag of cookies to the one who gets the question right... and in the end, becos we don't want anyone to get bitter, we'll hand out cookies to EVERYBODY. But I don't know how thats less embarrassing than a dance though...

So Melissa and I have been baking cookies till 11pm just now. And we tied the lil packets up with green and white ribbon... fat fingers, do not make good crafts people.. Tried and tested. DANG. So my dinner was essentially made up of cookie dough, cookies that failed the QC process in terms of shape, and burnt cookies. -_-

Anyway, so tomorrow evening will be the HOMECOMING PARADE where we will get to show off our float! Prof. Elsworth has volunteered to drive the truck that is gonna pull the trailer on which the float is sitting on, and he has warned us against walking in front of the truck. Thanks, Doc...we don't wanna die at 21.

So all in all, this has been a very tiring week.. its not over yet. DAMN. I predict I'll be sleeping most of Sat away... WOOHOO! I'm out for now.
