Ahhhh.... just had my first class of the semester. Its HB accounting (-_-). No comments yet, though I've heard alot about this professor... about him cracking racist jokes and unabashedly claiming superiority over fellow human beings and ranting about 'stupid' people. And in case you are wondering, Dr. Tarras definitely lived up to that notoriety. He said he just married off his elder daughter, and that he spent $25k on her wedding... He sent them off to Aruba for their honeymoon, and they have inlaws who are so clueless and stupid (in his own word. stupid.), that he was ready to kiss the ground by the time he returned to Michigan... and how his office is nx to Sherri Henry (the academic advisor), and that she keeps annoying him with her constant talking, and promptly labelled her as THE TALKER. and how he is looking to lose that belly of his, so he can get rid of those fatso professor jokes, once and for all... and then added that he probably doesn't need to worry too much about those jokes as long as Dr. Beck (fatter one) is around... and how although he is teaching accounting, he has never been an accountant (he did law), and that accountants are all very serious people, and slipped in an additional sentence 'like how Schmidgall looks' (another older and sterner looking, but kind professor)... ouch, Professor.
wahhahhaa... he sounds pretty smart (assed), and oh well, we'll see.. one thing for sure, when it comes to Tarras, you either love him or hate him.
anyway, a part of me misses NYC, yet another relishes being back in school. A summer of work really makes you treasure school more, that I promise you. When I got back on Saturday, it was unreal, cos only Friday night had I been in a crowded Malaysian restaurant in the NYC Chinatown, and fastforward 24hrs, I'm in the middle of nowhere. But anyway, NYC was a wonderful time, although I did feel myself slowly morphing into a cynical and angry New Yorker. I did get to spend alot of time with my sister, which is good, since we haven't really spent alot of time together since she moved away. But now, I'm back in the trees and wide spaces with fresh air! Weather is good, and my single room, is not that bad after all... classes should be great, and OH!!!!!!!!! I HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT MY PLANE TICKET TO ORLANDO! Xinli and I are gonna stay there for ONE MORE NIGHT, cos the tickets coming back on a Sunday are so much more expensive than Monday. Oh well.. hehhehee...
It still feels kinda weird... cos I can imagine throngs of people pushing their way through 34th street in NYC... shoppers, tourists, working people... ahhhh...
Time to hit the gym later, though. need to get rid of this horrible paunch which started out as a pouch in front, and is now VERY QUICKLY becoming an all-round SWIMMING FLOAT. die.
