The Microwave, my nemesis - 10:08 AM

SHIET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just when I thought that I had conquered the kitchen for a LITTLE while, I just screwed up the microwave!!!! I popped 4 xiao man tou in for 2 minutes on HIGH (as per the packet instructions), BUT THEY ARE NOW CHAO TAR AND THE FUMES (ALOT!!!!!!!) COMING OUT OF THE MICROWAVE IS SUFFOCATING ME LIKE... like OMG SAVE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't breathe... am i gonna die? am i gonna die???!?! thank god it didn't set off the fire alarm, I bet the neighbors and roommates don't appreciate an alarm going off at 10am on a Sat morning.

Anyway, we had Kimpton orientation yesterday. They get all the newbies from the 2 properties they have in NYC and justg gave some presentation about the company's history, culture, bla blah. Quite fun la, cos they made everyone introduce ourselves (only about 12 of us), including the GMs of both hotels and the Area Director of HR. So we even had to tell them like who/what is our favorite musical band and who inspires us. Cheh, I tell them JAy they also dunno mah.... The Gms and HR Dir. are crazy people leh, keep dancing to music and cracking jokes. But this hotel is rather different. Women don't have to wear hoisery (just make sure ur legs are presentable. WHAHAHA), and guys get to keep their earrings!


OMG ITS BEEN 30MINS SINCE I SET OFF THE MICROWAVE OVEN... THE FUMES ARE STILL SUPER OVERPOWERING. SHIET. what a day to start the weekend.
