Maid in Manhattan - 8:13 PM
These days, I've been doing a load more chores than usual. My primary duty as the Maid (highclass with days off) in Manhattan is washing dishes. Bleah. My yu4 (jade) shou ah... my yu shou!! But then, I realise I'm quite good at washing dishes. Sometimes, I suspect that I might be a little jie2 pi4 (clean freak) cos I don't read newspapers often cos they dirty my fingers... but then I remember how dirty my room has always been and I just close one eye and vacuum only when I start sneezing, and I realise I'm daydreaming la. Na Li You Ke Neng Jie Pi?? However, I think I can still make an exceptional housekeeper, until1) I chopped my nail accidentally instead of the celery. Heng my nails are tough as, well, nails.
2) I stash the barang barang into drawers and pray that no one ever uncovers them instead of storing them neatly.
3) I vacuum only the parts which I can see, while I pretend not to notice the mess beneath the couch.
4) I use too much dried scallops to cook soup. Kandang soup automatically became scallop soup. sigh. (Ruoxi then told me one packet costs $50, and I used $10 worth in one bowl. since when did scallops cost so much?!)
I'm in the midst of watching Da Chang Jing, the super duper popular until bu qing bu chu de Korean epic period drama. Even Andy Lau is a fan neh...After watching the imperial maids chop their food so gracefully, I ALSO WANNA LEARN!! I don't wanna chop my own nails anymore!!!! Then I remember my uncle told me, long time ago, that his friend tried to imitate Yan Can Cook chop stuff, and chopped his own finger instead. MUAHHAHAHAH
Will be going to Baltimore, a rather historical city (I think) in Maryland tomorrow till Wednesday, cos Ruoxi's going on conference. We can finally sleep on separate beds. hur hur.
