How Does It Feel to be 21? - 3:28 PM
A surprise came in yesterday, in a styrofoam box, no less.... seee....
And so I open it with fervor, what might it be neh??
lo and behold, in front of my eyes, I uncovered a shimmery golden high crass looking box...

KWAH KAO!! its a LIMITED EDITION 25th Anniversary, Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake!!! Shipped from the Cheesecake Factory itself. OK, now I know how food can be Limited Edition. Remember the Marriott LTd Ed PINEAPPLE TARTS I told you all about earlier? BUt this, is different. This is a sweet, rich, not that easily ni4, (but you get easily bloated) birthday surprise! All 7 inches of it!
So, I removed the plastic covering that was sheltering it, and started digging into it with a plastic fork. Oh, before that, OBVIOUSLY god forbid, I threw away the nutritional facts. Those are mere details... that I don't EVER wanna know!
LOoks like the Grand Canyon to me!! hahahha.. MMMMmmmmm layers of chocolate with chunks in between....
SO I ate some of it, and realized I couldn't fit the LIMITED EDITION box into my compact fridge, so I took the cake out and wrapped it in alumnium foil that I had initially bought for HIGHLIGHTING my hair. MUAHHAHAHA. And so now, the fate of the cake lies undecided as I unwrap a little bit of the foil every few hours and take a nibble.
Anyway, did I mention that my sister Ruoxi sent it to me? Her card arrived today, on my birthday.
It read: '....Anyway, here's to a great adult life ahead of you! Stay passionate about life, and love and hate with intensity. That is a trait of yours that I really admire! (But don't be too hard on the Interior Designer and make him cry). Stay focused, and I'm sure you will achieve whatever goal you have. Most importantly, I wish you a fulfilled and colorful life. May the hard lessons be learnt and committed to memory, and out of the lessons come wisdom and new found maturity.... '
(btw, the interior designer part is cos we're redoing our house right, and they don't seem to take ME seriously. i'm SO gonna send them another angry email... )

Well, mebbe older brothers too, but I wouldn't know right? Best if they come generous and rich, and smart, and generous, and rich. hahaha... did I mention GENEROUS? ONE MORE PRESENT FROM U!!
And so, usually, as you all know, I will NEVER allow less than flattering pictures of me to appear ANYWHERE ... but since its my birthday, and u all are so nice to send ur well wishes, I shall give u all a treat la... Presenting, the very UNGLAM (but very satisfied) Ruoying!!

My best friend, Miss Yong Shiyun ordered them online for me. MUAHAHHA. She says the flowers here are very orbit, very hard to pick... MMMM not too bad la, just that the carnations were a little squished up looking. Plus, it came with a vase, so I didn't have to attempt to slice my waterbottle in half to fit them in. MUAHAHHAH

HEN MEI!! Sitting prettily on the window sill in its nice vase.With the flowers, came a card. It read: Fabulous flowers for a Fabulous friend... Happy 21st Birthday.
Have I ever mentioned the reason why I don't ever feel the need to make alot of friends? Its primarily cos of this girl, Shiyun. Honestly speaking, though we're so far apart, it never feels that far. Though we're 12hrs time difference away, it never feels that long. Though our lives are not the same, it never feels that different. Though we are of different sizes, we're constantly in each other's shoes. And so, I always feel very lucky that I have friends like her. Why should I go HUNTING for tons of new friends who will never match up to the ones I already have? Shiyun, as well as most of my good friends, and I never did hunt down for each other... in fact, we didn't even start off as being good friends! It was time and fate that brought us into each other's lives, more and more, and thus an acquaintancship evolved into friendship, an everlasting one.
On her blog, she dug up these pics of us on our Taiwan trip.. MUAHHAA my fav pic is the one in the middle.. MUAHAHHAHAHA.
WE're all FABULOUS.
So if you ask me, how does it feel to be 21? I will tell you... mmmm...its just another birthday. The day itself doesn't really matter, but to have people remember that its your birthday is super ultra comforting. And because of that, it doesn't feel much different from my 20th, 19th, 18th and etc.
OK, so I will have a belated birthday party in Dec when I get home.. YOU ARE ALL INVITED. muahhaa. I have decided that since it is MY life, I can do wadeva I want. So, for everyday I'm feeling alive, its my birthday. :D . Well, the day you were born is important, but isn't each day you are alive equally important? YAYYY, remember to come for my birthday party in December hor!!!! That is, if you all come to TANAH MERAH la...Don't need to bring presents one... hahah
