Post-Oscars - 11:26 PM
Quick update cos I've gotta get up at 4am to go to Puerto Rico. Its midnight and I'm not done packing. urgh.: The Oscars just ended. How very rude. The lady haven't even finished her thank you speech and they cut her off already. But ok I agree she's very chiong hey.Anyway, lets see... alot of winners were in line with the Golden Globes... except for............. BEST PICTURE, which went to CRASH and not BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN. Mannnnnnn wad a bummer. I admit I'm biased cos I didn't watch CRASH, but I'm veryyy happy that Ang Lee won the Best Director award.
So Dreamy George finally got his Oscar in Best Supporting Actor, the very pregnant Rachel Weisz (who?) for Best Supporting Actress, Philip Seymour Hoffman for his role in Capote for Best Actor, and Reese Witherspoon for Best Actress. I thought that if Reese could win for her role as June Carter in 'Walk The Line', Joaquin Phoneix would NORMALLY have no problem winning at all cos in my opinion, he was more outstanding than Reese. Oh well, tough luck Joaquin. Jon Stewart did not too bad a job hosting cos he didn't like, do or say controversial things that make people wanna whoot him.
THe dresses, the dresses. No really WAH WOOHOO kinda outfits this year. It was all rather subdued and modest. Very classy and sophisticated. Salma looked hot in her turquoise gown, Nicole kept it really ladylike in her ivory tube dress with her hair flowing behind her, Reese wore this sleeveless beaded off-white dress (that I thought made her arms look abit ba-ba), and I hereby announce that Keira Knightley is my favourite young actress. She's a stunner and WHOA, she actually has talent! .. Oh, Uma... her pale golden v-neck sleeved dress was really nice, I thought. Other than that, Jennifer Aniston, Charlize, Felicity (GORGEOUS), Rachel Weisz, Zhang Ziyi (quite stunning) and Hilary kept it simple and pretty in black. The actresses that weren't on the spotlight but made good choices in their dresses were: Noami Watts & Jessica Alba.
JLo seems to be going abit downhill since she got married. She looked a lil BURNT. Like, CHAO TAR. I thought Michelle William's canary dress sorta clashed with her hair, but I'm not a pro, so they might say it is beautiful.
OK, anyhow. I'm out for a week. Very concussed right now. So I'll say BYEBYE. I'm still sore about having to miss Oprah's post-Oscar show tmr. DAMN.
