Full House - 1:25 AM
Thanks to Shiyun's very generous *hur hur* family friend AH YONG, I have managed to get a set of dvds for free! So, after careful rationing off the 24-disc Korean drama, I am proud to announce that I have (finally) finished watching FULL HOUSE, starring Rain and the Cute girl, Song Hui Qiao. So let me get on with the diagnosis.
First things first, The Guy... he's a cutie. Not the looks la, but his mannerisms. Reminded me alot of Dao Ming Si you know.... ...I LIKE. Before you can even say 'huh? Rain? Siang si Rain? No la today never rain laaaa', he's swept across Asia like a tornado. When I first started this drama, ehhhhh this guy... eyes very small leh? Cute meh VERY CUTE MEH?! Then later on he starts to exude his adorablility (I just made up a new word!), just like DMS. And ahhhh...now I know why he's so popular among Asian aunties and xiao jies alike. I simply cannot fathom how some grown men can be so sucessfully act-cutey while some just makes you wish that they had never been born.
The Girl. I think she's wayyyyyy older than the 23yrs she was supposed to be in the show. BUT!!! SHE is REALLY cute!! A little plump, a little blunt.... She is a natural darling. This is like the first time I'm not jealous of the Female lead actress u know....Plus she is VERY pretty, au naturale or not.
The Bitch. Disappointing in this show. Unlike 'Stairway to Heaven' where the bitch was literally FROM HELL, the bitch here is sup-sup-suay. But I don't think she's very pretty though she's got a great figure I have to admit. (harlow? her double eyelids are very fake lo!)
The OTHER guy. One word.... SHUAI! But I don't think he can act. Then again, hell... who needs other talent when you're goodlooking?! (just jokin... little children don't pay any attention... that only implies when you're in the entertainment business. Keanu Reeves is doing JUST fine, isn't he?) But I've noticed how he (as well as Rain) can wear their pants high and get away with it (and at the same time look so cool). Its like getting away with murder, no?
The Friends. WAH KAO. Makes you wanna slap them....they're those typical bloodsuckers at the buffet table who keeps coming back for more. But oh well, they aren't the leads so who cares.
The Family Members. SUPER FUNNY. Strict doctor father, loving mother and a gao xiao Ah Ma makes one big happy family. Especially the Ah Ma who can't cook yet wanna lecture her granddaughter-in-law on cooking. WAHHAHAHA. I loved the 3 bears song....did you?
The Setting: This gorgeous house at the Beach. Don't know how they managed to find such a place. It might very well be the next tourist spot in Korea after Winter Sonata!
The Clothes: Rain's generally cool, the girl's OK although the colors tend to clash abit, the bitch likes to wear bras beneath peak-a-boo drapes, the dude wears solely suits (which he OBVIOUSLY looks great in). Not a fantastic place to look for fashion ideas, but will do.
The Plot: Quite weird, will probably NEVER happen in real life. But then again, if we wanna watch realistic plots (i.e what might just happen to anyone), we might as well see ourselves! But it got rid of the cliche standard Korean drama Brain cancer and evil stepmother and sudden discovery of the brother-sister... Reasonably funny. I LIKEEEEeeee.
All in all, I think its pretty good. Makes you unwind, and it goes easy on the brain AND the tear ducts. Truth be told, I don't think I can take another 'Stairway to Heaven' where the crying is like from start to finish and even more in the middle. I wanna watch ANOTHER ONE! Shiyun, koppe another one from Ah Yong leh!!!
