Presenting... Lil Miss SHY!!! - 11:50 PM
Because of the way she looked at me the first time.... because we took quite some time to warm up to each other....because the way she behaves in front of strangers... Meishan is Lil Miss Shy-on-the-outside! hur hur hur...If there was one thing our Sec 3/0's form teacher Mdm Tan did right, it was to ask the last row to all shift their tables. So instead of sitting at the back like I always did, I had to become partners with this GIRL who, of cos happened to be Meishan. I can still remember her terrified face when she realised she had me for a partner. AM I THAT BAD huh huH HUH?! wah her eyes literally hor...like wanna pop out lor! Needless to say, we got off to a slow start cos she was so scared of me! geeeee...
She was going through this Japanese-craze in the upper sec years.. U know how some people can ONLY buy stationary from KINOKUNIYA/ISETAN/MUJI? How some people ONLY eat meiji snacks? How some people can get so crazy over Hello Kitty? How they follow every single episode and own every possible Japanese vcd drama serial on the market? That's Meishan... all pretty n pink. She LURVES this boyband ARASHI during those times, and I'll put her down by saying 'they're ugly. their voices suck. their hairstyle's like crap.' -oops-. i didn't mean any harm la... but its true mah! Ahhh thats all in the past, lets hope she nv goes back there.
Anyway, she is like very sweet and endearing on the outside, BUT BEWARE COS LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING! hahahaha. Though we seem like opposites, we're not. Opposites attract.. thats not true either. Yeah, tastes and preferences can be different. E.g She wears skirts while I only had a pair of berms (THAT TIME LA!), she has long hair and I've never had long hair, she loves japanese everything and I don't care for them...I was athletic but she wasn't... but more importantly, personality and values wise, we're similar. Thats why it alllll works out.
hur hur and if you know ME well, you know I'm not such a nice person (nice only to the pple I like).. so you can deduce her character from there too.. hur hur...
Ok, now lets take see why is Meishan a good friend of mine:
1) She never fails to painstakingly help me organise my dog-earred sheets of paper under the desk nicely. Without questions, without complaints (OKOk so she complains a lil.. but she still does it for me anyway) U know how I'll just like, chuck everything under the desk? Yah, I guess cos she's my partner..so if my desk looked really bad, it would reflect negatively on her as well.. who knows? I tan-dio lor! haha
2) She was an inspiration in Chinese class. Cos U see, I had to drop higher chinese cos I bombed on the express chinese exam. So she had to motivate me to do well... Did I? NOl... I got the same grade the 2nd time I took it, and had to take it the 3RD TIME. WTH. But I eventually did well, alot of credit goes to her actually.
3) I, as weird as it sounds, love giving advice. She needs it, I'll give it to her FOC. Its an equation that balances out.
4) She always remembers me when she has good deals. She will say 'HEY! My mama's cooking curry chicken on saturday. you wanna come?' like -DURH- I'm already on my way!!
5) We're KTV partners. We can sing for like, lets see... 8 hrs straight?! And only leave because we ran outta $$, not cos we're tired... And after that, we can go eat and CHIT CHAT somemore. -sigh-, I miss those times. We gotta make sure we do that again when i get back k?
6) Cos she's such a good listener. U know how every girl needs a girlfriend who's always available when you need to talk? She's that girl. =)
Meishan, go ahead and msg/email me whenever you need someone to complain to. Your stories are very entertaining though they're definitely frustrating/exasperating/kiam pah for you. I may not be able to understand them like you do, but at least I will offer you solace. Let me guide you here, there, everywhere because I enjoy doing that. Let me be there for you not only during joyous occasions, but the most trying and desperate times as well. Because thats what good friends do, they're there for each other unconditionally. OH..most importantly, Let me give you a pair of earholes for your 21st birthday!!! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN! Hang in there... don't let the projects (and kiam pah project mates) bite!
