My Roommate's a Latina! - 11:15 AM
This semester, I've got a new roommate. Her name is Mariana, and she comes from a real exotic background. She told me her paternal grandparents escaped from China during WW2 and went to Africa. Her dad was thus born in Mozambique, this place near South Africa. Then cos of dunno wad, they moved again to Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Thats where her dad met her mom and had her and her brother. So, she's half Chinese, half Brasilian. but her family's all in Brazil and has no clue wadsoever abt China. So, I'm supposed to teach her Chinese. YEAH, right. I already taught her 'I love you' in Chinese for her to tell her grandma, who merely said 'oh. u just said i love you in mandarin....SO, HOW'S SCHOOL? (she complains that americans and asians are really cold.. i tell her its just in our blood that we're not as warm as them. its true)We went to Walmart yesterday and I was asking her about the LOVE ACTUALLY brazilian guy. U KNOW THAT REALLY HOT ONE?! n she told me 'yeah alot of guys in brazil look like that'. WAD? are u serious? i know, girls. i know what u are ALLLLL thinking....
the Latinos/Latinas are really warm and passionate people. They enjoy talking (i say this cos they talk. alot.), dancing, sports, and basically making merry. To them, a peck on the cheek = a handshake. Thats very different from those Southern Californians' *kiss**kiss* u know? The latter, as u can see from the O.C, is not very genuine huh? So anyway, they'll just shake your hand and pull themselves towards u. First time that happened, I just stood there like a block of wood. Yah? Huh? THEN my roommate tells me whats going on. wahhaha. Just a quick question: WILL i get pimples if they have stubby chins? :s
